Rising Tide Effect Teaches Swimmer Safety in Style

Local organization Rising Tide Effect hoped to prevent further tragedies on Thursday, Aug. 14, with an event called “Water Rescue Demo Day.” By partnering with the NYC Parks Department, FDNY, and more, Rising Tide Effect founder Kaitlin Krause put on a live show to not only demonstrate swim safety tips but to also give youth participants a glimpse of what rescue efforts look like.
